Cáceres and Extremadura themselves lack major industrial powers and moreover, this Autonomous Community is considered to be amongst the less advanced ones in Spain. Then,which are its main sources of income? 

Together with the agro-alimentary sector, the cultural sector is the base of the Extremaduran economy.  Focusing on the cultural aspect  of the dominant tertiary sector, the cinematic and literature-related facet of some areas has started to be exploited for the good of the Community, especially provided that some large audience series and films have chosen many enclaves   from between  its appealing natural landscapes and historical quarters in the last few years. Having this become a tourist claim and together with the fact that Extremadura is the place of birth of, or  some Spanish figures of interest for the visitors, new sightseeing tours and routes are coming to light.
